Jim Steinman's 'Bat Out of Hell' musical to heat up Aussie arenas in June 2020

Jim Steinman's 'Bat Out of Hell' will be touring Australia next year June. The award-winning rock musical will stop hearts and drop jaws at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena, then will stun audiences at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Crowds at Perth's RAC Arena will see the final show.

The award-winning musical premiered in 2017 at the Manchester Opera House and then played a wildly successful engagement at London's Coliseum, winning the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical, before rocking Canadian audiences with a critically acclaimed run at Toronto's Mirvish Theatre. The show also played a six-week engagement at the New York City Center earlier this year.

Based on one of the best-selling albums of all time, 'Bat Out Of Hell' features the legendary hits of Jim Steinman like 'You Took The Words Right Out of My Mouth', 'I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' and the title track among others. The 'Bat Out Of Hell' album, released in 1977, remains as Australia's highest-selling record, with nearly two million copies sold. In 2003, it was named one of "Greatest Albums of All Time" by Rolling Stone.
