"Just one year ago, on a drive from Atlanta Georgia to Baton Rouge Louisiana, I found myself searching for Hank Williams resting place in Montgomery Alabama. As I stood there at Hank’s grave I felt the beginnings of a song. I thought about his great recordings. featuring just him and his guitar."
"I thought, I need to record like that one day, stripped back and solo. Hank died on the way to a gig in the back seat of a 1952 blue Cadillac. He was 29. When I arrived back home, my friend James Van Cooper and I wrote the song 1952 Cadillac. It’s the opening/title track of my new solo album. The songs are pretty much about living, dying and the passing of time. Time ain’t a friend of mine!" - Bill Chambers.
Special guest A.P D’Antonio.
A.P D’Antonio, South Australia’s finalist on the voice 2018 works within the boundaries of the old folk masters to deliver an authentic take on 1920’s-1940’s country, folk and blues. His one man show has taken him all over the country playing bar rooms and festivals including Woodford folk festival, Cygnet folk festival, Majors creek folk festival and more. Packing along a banjo and guitar, a.p sings songs of rambling, brawling, gambling, up’s and down’s, love had and lost and some traditional favourites. His freewheeling, raw style has won over crowds across the country and he has become a favourite at festivals and venues alike.
